Sorry... Lately my "Draw ability seems to wax and wane... Like a nice hidden talent. Here, I present proof of this... and the fact that I'm not dead. ... Just busy. ... Very busy.
Anyways...
*Ahem*
I had, (Have) this daydream... I was trying to think of a way to surpass all of my other inventions... For warfare and otherwise. I kept thinking of the 'Bigger gun' paradox. In which there simply seems to be, (In the world of firearms anyhow) a bigger, better gun. Something with better strength, rate of fire, and less recoil... I had something of an epiphany. (A veeery small one) I realized, that perhaps, in terms of weapons design, I (And perhaps most everyone) was going in the wrong direction. Instead of a better gun... a better offensive defense, if you will... I wondered what I could make as far as a defensive offense. No longer a larger, sharper sword to design... Instead, a shield.
This is simply the first rough sketching of what I hope to later fully realize... The circular object in the (near) center will be called Icon. ... (It sounded right to me.) Much inspired by the anime and science fiction I read, Icon will be a living thing. (Though at first, I don't think I'll be able realize that...) An engine of living matter... Perhaps from some unknown metal, or one synthesized from a fallen star... It'd have to be slightly larger than the size of a pocket watch, and metallic silver in color. With the ability to take in almost any material and process it into energy, or reconfigure its molecular structure to form another material. Also functioning as a shield generator... Somehow... (I haven't worked out the psuedo-science for that one...sorry.)
cool idea! perhaps it absorbs and redirects kenetic energy? maybe it produces a small time stutter that allows you to see things coming first(though that'd be more dodgey than blocky), or...I dunno perhaps a field of denser than air particles that robs the vitality of any incoming objects... just some ideas?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
